"Inspired"

Inspired

"Music is inextricably linked to memories and experiences, just as a smell or a taste on the tongue remind us of the past."

In this time where culture has become something of a rarity, the internationally renowned solo violinist

Anna Dorothea Mutterer and the pianist/arranger Timo Boecking devote themselves to the chorales and songs that have become companions through life for them and many other people.

Instrumental and improvised. Virtuoso and straight from the heart.

A grand piano and a violin - in this exclusive line-up, the two artists create a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to lean back and listen. From Paul Gerhardt to Gershwin, from Bach to the Beatles, through Jewish folklore to the Swedish anthem: a personal and exquisite selection of timeless melodies that have shaped many generations.

Created in a rather spontaneous encounter during a CD recording, "Beflügelt" (Inspired) is a unique connection of two different worlds. A professor for pop music, improvisor and arranger, and a classical solo violinist. Two friends creating harmony in between musical worlds. The result is a colorful program of classical works, well-known melodies, newly arranged pop songs, church hymns and own compositions.

In addition to the music, the two young artists talk about the individual pieces: The composer´s life story, the circumstances of the composition, their personal connection to it, or simply why they chose to share this particular piece with the audience.

A program for young and old, classic fans and jazz lovers, church enthusiasts, artists and free spirits.
