From Paul Gerhardt to Gershwin, from Bach to the Beatles, through Jewish folklore to the Swedish anthem: a personal and exquisite selection of timeless melodies that have shaped many generations.
Created in a rather spontaneous encounter during a CD recording, "Beflügelt" (Inspired) is a unique connection of two different worlds. A professor for pop music, improvisor and arranger, and a classical solo violinist. Two friends creating harmony in between musical worlds. The result is a colorful program of classical works, well-known melodies, newly arranged pop songs, church hymns and own compositions.
In addition to the music, the two young artists talk about the individual pieces: The composer´s life story, the circumstances of the composition, their personal connection to it, or simply why they chose to share this particular piece with the audience.
